Fitness Log Days 3 and 4

Just wanted to post a quick blog regarding my workout status the past couple days. It's more or less just so I can keep track of my progress. Yesterday I did another 30-minute dance aerobic session in the early morning. Later on in the afternoon Hannah and I went on a 20-minute bike ride together. I really love the idea of incorporating my workouts into some good time with the family. I know it's important also to teach my kiddos the importance of being healthy!.

Speaking of healthy, I am not. I have caught a dumb cold. UGH. Needless to say, I did not do any sort of workin out today. It was enough just to get through the normal stuff of driving kids to and fro and blah, blah, blah. I've been guzzling the water like crazy, though, so hopefully this bug will be kicked soon!

Pics to come the next time I post, I promise. And not fat swimsuit ones either!

Fitness Log Day 2

The races were pretty fun last night. The only downside was the fact that it got really cold. I thought we had come prepared enough with 3 blankets, but everyone was still kind of whiny about it. And both girls fell asleep before the main event. Oh well, Brian, Noah and I got to watch Brian's friend Shelby win the race, going from dead last all the way to first place. Pretty darn amazing. It makes it so much more cool when you actually know the racers and can really root for someone. Good times!

We had a great day today getting together with the whole extended family. It was so nice to get to see and visit with everyone, although I am a dork and forgot to bring my camera to take some pics. Disappointing.

I weighed myself today. I've lost 1 pound since beginning this thing. Yea!! My workout today consisted of breaking out the dance aerobics DVD and cuttin loose. I've learned to either let the kids join in or just let them sit around and laugh at me. As long as I'm sweatin, I really don't care. As far as my diet, well we had a family function, so we won't discuss it.

Fitness Log Day 1

I forgot I wanted to make a goal regarding my sizes. Because my thighs are so much larger compared to my waist, I have to buy size 8 or 10 and then cinch the waist with a belt. It really makes buying clothing a very difficult and daunting task. So, my goal for size is to try to have my legs be able to fit into the size 6 that my waist is.

I plan to start my workouts with some good old-fashioned cardio on the treadmill each and every day for at least 30 minutes. I have found that I'm a closet worker outer and would much rather do it at home. I'll throw in some arm and ab exercises with the medicine ball too.

Today I did my 30 mins on the treadmill. I also had a lot of fun outside with the kids on the trampoline. It's amazing what a workout that really is!!!

Well, we're headed off to the races tonight. Can't wait. It should be a lot of fun.

Fitness Challenge


Okay, well here goes nothin. I really must be desperate if I am even considering posting these pics. Ewwwwww. Just as Adrea said though, posting them will give me motivation to get movin so I can post some really great "after pics." Actually, I'm slightly tipsy right now or I probably wouldn't post these. Oh well, what's done is done!

So, I know my problem area is my thighs. I am a classic "pear shape." And as Hannah so sweetly put it tonight as she was taking these pictures for me, "You're not fat mommy, just your legs." Ah the honesty of a child!!

Taking measurements and weighing myself was also very disheartening. The only time I've ever been this heavy was when I was preggers with Faith. My numbers and goals are as follows, but really I am not going to put too much emphasis on losing "weight," but rather inches. I would be happy to be the weight that I am right now as long as the weight was muscle and not "jiggly wiggly," as the kids like to call it.

Current weight: 149 (ugh) Goal weight: 135
Waist: 31 inches Goal waist: 30 inches
Hips: 39 inches Goal hips: 38 inches
Thighs: 24 inches(sick) Goal thighs: 20 inches
Arms: 11 inches Goal arms: 9.5 inches

My current BMI (body mass index) is 23.3, which actually is not even considered overweight. Thank goodness; however, I would like to see it closer to 21, which is just more healthier and closer to the ideal for my 5'7" frame. I'm taking Adrea up on her 12-week time frame.

So, these are my goals, for those of you that care! If you don't, well then don't read my blog for a while cuz this will be a lot of what I will be blogging about for a while. I would definitely appreciate some support though, and I will happily support any of you that want to get on board!

Just a thought!

Would anyone be interested in doing some sort of bloggers weight loss/get fit challenge? Doesn't have to be anything too big. Maybe just a place for those of us interested to report our goals and progress and maybe have some sort of "Biggest Loser" winner or something. As those of you who know me well know, this is a big issue for me, and it's obviously hard for a lot of us to accomplish our goals especially when we are not held accountable by anyone but ourselves. I figure if we were all in this together than maybe we could keep each other in check. Or try to come up with a prize great enough (of course, besides feeling/looking better) that would drive us all to try to attain it!!! Let me know your feelings on the matter.

I figured I would let everyone know about a little problem I've been seeing on these blogs. If you ever see on your blog or anyone else's comment page an entry similar to "kazir" click here or here,
with the "here's" underlined, ABSOLUTELY DO NOT CLICK ON THE "HERE'S." This is a virus of some sort. I caught it from someone's blog already and was lucky enough to be able to repair it. The name will not always be "kazir," but it will be similar and will not be a name that you would recognize.

I repeat, these are not legitimate comments and will result in your computer contracting a virus.
